President

Chip was raised in Tifton, Georgia where he graduated from Tift County High School.  After high school, he attended Abraham Baldwin College where he lettered in varsity baseball and Mississippi State University where he studied Seed Technology.  Charles is married to the former Krista Dwozan, and they have two kids.  He is a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Georgia Sod Producers Association, and Southern Seed Association.  He enjoys hunting, playing golf, and spending time with his family.  Charles began working summers with his father and grandfather at Tifton Seed and Sod Farms in 1983.  “Looking back, I never realized how much I retained of what they taught me during those years until I started running my own company.  Having two men with so many years of experience that you can call upon whenever needed is truly a blessing.”  Soon after returning from Mississippi, Charles decided he would follow in their footsteps and purchased 1,000 acres in Dodge County.

Gynn Solomon

Glynn joined Heritage Turf Farms in 2002 and now has 10 years of operation experience in the turfgrass industry.  After returning from a Spanish speaking mission through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he attended South Georgia College where he graduated with an Associates of Science Degree.  Glynn is married to LaTrice Solomon and together they have five daughters, ranging in age from 15 months to 13 years old.  When he is not working, he likes to relax and enjoy the great outdoors, including deer or turkey hunting, playing softball and hitting a round of golf.  Either work or play, Glynn is always at his best and that’s what makes him great at his job.  Here at Heritage Turf Farms, he is in charge of implementing production strategies, managing the base operations in Chauncey and overseeing the assistant at the Alamo operation.  He also speaks fluent Spanish, which is a great asset to the company and benefits in directing and communicating daily tasks among the twelve Spanish employees.  Glynn is a man of integrity and hard work, and expects nothing but the best from those he works with to ensure that our customers receive the best quality of sod that our company can provide.

Jim Pritchett

Jim started with Heritage Turf Farms the summer of 2009. He was born in Dodge County and has lived in Eastman most of his life. Jim graduated from Dodge County High School in 1993. After high school he was awarded a baseball scholarship to Brewton Parker College. Jim worked for AT&T for 10 years before coming to Heritage Turf Farms.
Jim was hired as logistics manager in August 2009. His first order of business was to learn our dispatch software, and to set up a GPS solution for our company. Jim also communicates with all of our customers on delivery times and dates. “ Being able to provide real time information to our customers is very important in this industry. You must take into account weather, traffic and the customers schedule. It’s a big challenge, but I love it.”
Jim works with Kirby Gray everyday to ensure our customers get what they want, when they want it. He also stays in close contact with Glynn Solomon, to verify what needs to be harvested for each day.
“Coming from a big corporation, to a small business has truly been the best move I have ever made. I actually enjoy coming to work, and pray that I will have a full career here at my new home.”
